Short answer: TestMu AI, the new name for LambdaTest since January 2026, charges per parallel session for testing and per agent for its AI agent. Live testing starts at $15 a month, web automation at $79, and mobile app automation at $139 on emulators or $199 on real devices, all per parallel session and billed annually. There is a free plan for evaluation. Prices below were checked on TestMu AI's pricing page on 13 October 2026.

This guide covers every plan that matters for web and mobile testing, what a typical team actually pays, and how the prices compare with BrowserStack and Sauce Labs.

How TestMu AI pricing works

  • Per parallel session. Live testing, automation and HyperExecute are priced by how many tests you run at the same time, not by user. Two parallel sessions cost twice as much as one.
  • Per agent or per user. KaneAI, the AI test agent, is priced per agent. Test Manager is priced per user.
  • Separate tracks. Automation plans do not stack: the real-device plan does not include desktop browsers or emulators. Only Enterprise covers everything.
  • Annual vs monthly. Annual billing is 10–26% cheaper depending on the plan. The prices in this guide are annual unless stated.

LambdaTest became TestMu AI on 12 January 2026. The platform, accounts and pricing structure carried over; only the name changed.

Live testing plans

Live testing is manual, interactive testing in the browser or on a device.

Plan Annual (per month) Monthly What you get
Free $0 $0 Limited 2-minute sessions, 200+ desktop browsers, 2 emulator or simulator app sessions a month
Virtual Live $15 $19 Unlimited live testing on 3,000+ browsers, emulators and simulators
ChromeOS Live $29 $39 ChromeOS devices with limited browser coverage
Real Device Plus Live $39 $49 Everything in Virtual Live plus 10,000+ real Android and iOS devices
Enterprise Custom Custom SSO, IP allowlisting, dedicated support

Automation plans

Automation is where most mobile teams spend. Note that each plan covers a different environment rather than adding to the one below it.

Plan Annual (per month) Monthly Covers
Free $0 $0 100 lifetime minutes on 2 parallel sessions
Desktop (Linux only) $29 $39 Chrome, Firefox and Edge on Linux
Desktop (all OS) $79 $99 3,000+ desktop browsers on Windows, macOS and Linux
Virtual Automation Cloud $139 $159 Desktop web plus emulators and simulators; Appium, Espresso, XCUITest and Detox
Real Device Plus Automation $199 $249 Real Android and iOS devices only; Appium, Espresso and XCUITest
Enterprise Custom Custom All of the above

Per parallel session. Every paid automation plan includes 2,000 SmartUI screenshots and 300 HyperExecute minutes.

If you test native mobile apps on real devices, the line that matters is Real Device Plus Automation at $199 a month per parallel session. If you also need emulators or desktop browsers, you need a second plan or Enterprise.

KaneAI pricing

KaneAI is TestMu AI's AI agent for writing and maintaining tests in natural language. It is billed separately from device access, per agent, with a monthly credit allowance.

Plan Annual (per month) Monthly Credits per month Includes
Starter $17 $19 2,000 Local authoring through the free Kane CLI
Pro $89 $99 12,000 Cloud authoring for web, 100 HyperExecute minutes
Max $179 $199 25,000 Cloud authoring for web and mobile, 300 HyperExecute minutes
Enterprise Custom Custom Unlimited SSO, sub-organisations, dedicated support

Per agent. Each plan includes one Test Manager seat per agent. There is no free KaneAI plan.

Mobile authoring needs the Max plan. TestMu AI estimates a 40-step test costs about 80 credits to create, so Max covers roughly 300 new tests a month per agent before maintenance.

TestMu AI vs BrowserStack vs Sauce Labs pricing

For mobile app automation on real devices, the three main device clouds now cost the same at entry level. TestMu AI is cheaper for live and web testing.

Product TestMu AI BrowserStack Sauce Labs
Real-device app automation $199 $199 (Device Cloud), $249 (Pro) $199 ($249 month to month)
Live testing on real devices $39 $39 (App Live, single user) —
Desktop web automation $79 $99 —
Real devices available 10,000+ 35,000+ Thousands

Is there a free plan?

Yes, for most products. Automation gets 100 lifetime minutes on 2 parallel sessions; live testing gets short monthly sessions; HyperExecute gets 300 minutes. That is enough to evaluate the platform, not to run a CI pipeline. KaneAI has no free plan, though the Kane CLI is free to use locally.

Where Drizz fits

TestMu AI sells device access and an AI agent separately. Drizz prices differently: tests are written in plain English, Vision AI runs them on real devices, and you pay per executed test step. The free trial includes 300 Drizz Tokens (about 30 runs), and the Solo plan is $49 a month for 5,000 tokens (about 500 runs). Teams can also use Drizz alongside a device cloud they already pay for.
